The WordPress Plugins You Need

Wordfence
Wordfence is the most popular WordPress security plugin. We use this on every one of our websites to make sure they are secure. We like this plugin as it is easy to setup and offers a brilliant free version without much need to upgrade to the premium.

Yoast
Yoast is the most popular SEO (search engine optimisation) plugin for WordPress. This offers the simplest way to help you boost your rankings and has many great features. Again, this is one we use on every website as it is extremely necessary. This plugin offers a premium version, however we don’t see many benefits unless you are targeting more than 1 keyword per page.

All-in-One WP Migration
This is our favourite WordPress plugin. This plugin can quickly and easily transfer a website from one WordPress install to another. You can export to a range of places and import when you need, all from within the plugin. If you are working with larger sites, you’ll need to combine this with this plugin: Unlimited Extension.

UpdraftPlus
If you’re not used to backing up files, this is our top pick for doing this yourself. There are options to backup automatically to a number of locations, for example Dropbox. We use this daily to check clients sites are backed up in a secure location along with other backups that are taken.

Duplicate Post
A must have plugin that does what it says on the tin. Duplicate post will give you options to quickly copy pages, posts or any other format of WordPress page type. This is probably the most useful of the plugins listed and one we always install to save ourselves time.
